Fish hard to find this week

This last week the weather has just about hit us from all directions, Rain, Wind and sunny patches along with a little cold water current the fish have shut down, I have worked hard most outing to put fish in the boat, Scored one nice Kingie around 70cms from a mooring drum on a live bait.
Trevally are around the drums in the middle of the Bay but only in small numbers there are lots of Slimmy Mackerel hanging around the drums as well.
Bream are slim pickings I have found a few along the Third runway and in the Middle of the Bay and just wide from Towra Point along with a few Whiting.
Also scored a few Flathead while anchored for Bream on plastics.
Early Morning trolling has produced Tailor and Salmon in Yarra Bay.
The water is just starting to clear up so next week is looking rather good, The surface action should return as there is loads of bait fish around and the good water will turn turn the kingies on and the Bream will follow.

I have a few free day still between Christmas and new year and the odd Weekend in January is still open.
The last Sunday of the month in January 27th is the singles day so if you are keen on a outing around Botany Bay target Kingies, Bream, Tailor, Salmon, Trevally, Flathead give us a call Come along by your self or bring a mate along for a top day fishing Botany Bay.

I would like to wish all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year and the fishing is just about to fire so January should be red hot.

Two good days on the Bay

Well a few days without the bloody wind blowing was great Friday Saturday and Sunday and the fishing was rather good, The water was still a little dirty after all the rain and is slowly clearing up so the Kingies should be back, I did find a few over the last few days all around 60cm and lost a good fish right at the boat on Sunday that sucked in a Nipper on light tackle.
Trevally in good numbers on Friday, Saturday but had trouble on Sunday around the drums but then the Mackerel moved in and all hall hooked up, Big Mackerel to, top bait and top tucker cooked fresh, Well I like them.
Bream a little slow but found a few in the middle of the Bay on Nippers and worth spinning this area for Flathead as we caught a few on Plastics.
Friday Nathan had the boat with a crew and found Tailor around Watts reef and I found Tailor and Salmon in Yarra Bay trolling.

free spots for December 30th the last singles day for the year and in January I have the odd day still free, Sunday the 6th and Saturday the 12th are still open but be quick on these.

Big Wednesday

Wednesday morning and the Bream had moved from the sticks so I headed to the Third Runway and boat a few not a big run but plate size fish, The wind was still blowing from the south at 15 to 20 knots so it was one of those days, Trevally save the day at Kurnell Point on the run in tide, Kingie proved to be a little tough today as the water was dirty from the rain we have had in Sydney of late.
Wednesday afternoon trip proved rather good with Bream from the third runway on the end of the run out tide, We then caught a few live baits and headed towards Kurnell Point to fish for Kingies after trying Trevally Alley with no results but still no Kingies in the dirty water, this weekend might be the same but should improve soon once the weather improves, Scored well on Trevally around Kurnell point again and all were a good size up around the 750to 1kg. Just on dark we headed to the Bridge to target Jew Fish all looked good once we anchored and the wind had drop off, Slow to start but we we finished with a nice Jew of 65cms around 3kg that took a live Yellow Tail at about 10.20pm good way to finish a big day on the water.

Next afternoon trip is on the 27th 4pm start and we fish to 10pm you will have two hours targeting Jew fish, so if this sound like you give me a call
0418 169 439.

I have free spots open between Christmas and new year for both Deep sea and Botany Bay trips we can run afternoon or morning outings to suit.

Sunday the 23rd there is one spot left for a day on Botany Bay.

Sunday the 30th I have three spots open.

Another windy day on the Bay

Adam with a few Bream from the Third Runway

Saturday was the Fishing School and the wind was up from the south and blew all bloody day, Fished the Sticks for Bream but after the rain the fish have moved so I headed to the Third runway and found a few.
Trolled the Third runway but no good and then head to Yarra Bay and found Salmon working with Tailor the fish only stayed on the surface for a minute or to so trolling was the way to go.
The water in the Bay was a little dirty after all the rain and Squid are hard to fine in these conditions pick up a few live baits and then head to Kurnell point for a good bag of Trevally, I had a live bait over the whole time with out a look.

DEEP SEA TRIP

Nice Snapper caught wide from Wedding Cake Island
One of the many Kingies landed

Our new skipper Nathan Smith was out today a little wet but had some outstanding fishing .
First filled the bait tank with live baits and headed north from Botany Bay in search of Kings and found plenty they fished Yellow rock and wide off the Wedding Cake island and most spots had Kings hanging around, Lost a few good fish on the bottom that they couldn't`t stop and boated plenty more. The fish the boys landed were all around that 60 to 65cm and they had a ball. They also caught Snapper, Trevally and more Sweep than you could count.

KEEN ON A DEEP SEA TRIP, Targeting Kingies, Snapper, Trevally and heaps more, This is all light tackle sports fishing at its best, Nathan will have you on the fish.

Good fishing this weekend

Saturday proved the better day as far as the fish but not the weather, Surface action all across Yarra bay and towards the sticks, Now the schools are only small just busting the top quickly and then there gone so trolling proved a better method in locating hookups. Saturday caught Salmon and small Tailor and drop plenty while on Sunday we started in Yarra with a hookup as the lures hit the water with one Salmon and a nice Tailor after that no good.
Fished the Drums for Trevally but only small Snapper moved to Trevally Alley, Slow start caught Four Trevally and one nice Bream.
With live baits on Board I headed to Cape Banks as I have caught a few Kingies here over the last few weeks, Saturday scored two nice fish and lost a ripper, Sunday a little slow but we boated more fish but all were between 60cm and 64cm and this will be the pattern this year as there will be heaps of under size fish as the new limit is 65cms.
Bream are on the chew and I have found them good around the sticks and off the third Runway over the last week and most fish are around 30cm all fish caught on Nippers on the run in and run out tides.
Surface action should improve later this week with the early Morning run out tide.
I have next Sunday the 9th free now I will run this as a singles day or a group booking the tides are ideal for Kingies in the morning and the run out should be spot on for the Bream.
If YOU ARE KEEN GIVE ME A CALL 0418 169 439.
