Hot Water on fire

Today after a few weeks of rain I was back out on the Bay with a group from the fishing school that I run once a month at Hunts Marine, Headed to the hot water after the report from Carl last week, First cast a solid Tailor of about 1.5kg smash a metal slice of the top, The next five casts produced Tailor and a nice Kingie which is great for this time of the year and after all the rain this was a great start to the day. Carl also turned up today and scored two Kings just to show us up, the bite slowed up as the sun hit the sky.
Headed to Trevally Alley and Anchored about 50 metres back from the end and set a good burley trail of pelets and Pilchard and fished with nipper and cubes of pilchard for about 15 Trevally.
Trolled along the Third run way and the container wall but no good.
Spinning for Flathead a little slow, hooked one fish and lost it right at the boat.

The big flush

Botany Bay and the Port Hacking have both had there systems flushed through and this is the first time in years, Sorry I havn`t added any reports of late but its hard to report on fishing when Iam not fishing dew to all the rain.
I have drag a few reports together after a few phone calls to die hard fishos that fish in all weather. Over the weekend the Hot water in Botany bay had Carl catching Tailor and a few good Kings odd in the dirty water for the Kings.
Paul from Fratelli Del Mare Restaurant in Cronulla fished Monday and did well on Trevally and the odd Salmon along Trevally Alley, He said the drums also fished well and he boat a good Flathead just of the third runway.
If you are after a top feed call in and see Paul one of the top spots to eat in Cronulla.
So the Bay is fishing rather good and should be on fire a week or so after the big wet comes to the end.

Thinks of a top gift for some one send them along to the fishing school I show them all they need to know when fishing Sydneys water ways.
The gift includes a night of instruction and then a full days fishing out on Botany Bay.

Spots now open for the last day Sunday of the month just give me a call to book in.

After the big wet

Heading out after so much rain can be a problem, water quite dirty and all the spots are that fished well now don`t. Botany Bay is rather dirty and this is its first real flush for quite a while but the fishing was great, Starting at Trevally Alley its like nothing had change in the first two hours the boys boated eight nice Bream and a good bag of Trevally, Most of the Bream were caught on the bottom while the Trevally were from mid water on floating rigs, Nippers and Pilchards as bait.
No surface action to be seen.
Spinning for Flathead was also good picking up three nice fish just wide of Silver Beach at Kurnell.
So this week the fishing should improve as the water clears and the big tides should help this week.

Gift for Dad send him out fishing, Join the singles day that on the last Sunday of the month this is a full days fishing for a host of different species or you and a mate team up with others for a great day. June the 24th spots are filling fast.

The next fishing school has only two spots left and its on the 25th of June, Day on the water is 30th I will show you all you need to know when fishing Botany Bay.

Long Weekend fishing tips

How good has the weather been and the fishing is as good in Botany Bay, Trevally are in great numbers and not a bad size either, Trevally Alley fishing well and the Drums are worth a look, the odd fish taken around the Fish farm just of the Oil Wharf.
Bream are also around the Bay in a number of spots I have scored well just wide of the Third Runway as well as Trevally Alley on the bottom.
Trolling for Tailor and Yarra Bay has produced the odd fish but only small numbers, The Hot water is another spot worth a try in the dark.
The runout tide in the dark along the Oil wharf should fish well for Tailor.
Captain Cook Bridge has the odd school Jew and plenty of Luderick around the pylons.
