Great Sydney Fishing

FISHING REPORT
Another windy weekend and Saturday was a test as we headed off shore from the Port Hacking River, swell was only 1metre but with the 15knots of north east wind made it tricky, we headed across Bate Bay to the reefs and tucked in tight to avoid the wind and swell and we found fish on our first spot big Slimy Mackerel, Trevally, Snapper, Sweep and Pike all in the mix so a good start in shit conditions.
After a few hours and the weather getting worst now we had rain heading our way as well, back to the river it was and we anchored on the flats and did well on Bream on the run out tide, great day in tough and testing conditions.
Bream from the Flats in the Port Hacking River.
Sunday had us in Botany Bay with better weather and the fishing fired, Big Slimy Mackerel are about as cold water has pushed into the Bay with the few days of north easter.
Good Tailor caught trolling Yarra Bay just out from the moored boats, they are not feeding on the surface yet so trolling still a better method in catching a few.

Lower in the Bay we did okay with a few Trevally before heading back into the river mouth to hunt Flathead and we did well boating to trophy fish, Ryan nailed a 75cm beast and Chris five minutes later landed a 71cm Flathead that were both released after the photos, good stuff guys.
Both fish were caught on Squidgies Blood Worm Wriggler and a Drop Bear Fish.
Ryans Crocodile 75cms, PB Nice work mate.
Chris and his PB, Good stuff mate, top fish.

FISHING TRIPS SYDNEY

FISHING REPORT
South coast last week fished well with Snapper and Flathead in good numbers, next trip coming soon so keep an eye open for days.
Well two nice days on the water over the weekend but the fishing proved a little tough, yes we caught fish but we worked for them, Trolling on Saturday in the Bay produced the results for us landing Tailor and Bonito, bait and soft plastic failed.
Sunday trolling the coast early only produce one Bonito the main school have gone over night, thats fishing.
The deeper reefs had us land a few good Morwong and the Flathead saved the day on the sand in 45metres out from Long Bay.

FISHING REPORT SYDNEY

FISHING REPORT
Cold and windy out on the Bay on Saturday which made the fishing tricky, Trevally are in big numbers but tough to find better fish.
Trolling just of Kurnell head land had us hooked up on two Bonito.
Spinning with plastics again produce a few nice Flathead.
Off shore on Saturday down south in search of Snapper proved tough but did well on a mix of reef species.
Flathead of the water run a few better fish if you move about in 30 to 40 metres.

Waveley with his Dad lands his first Bonito trolling.

FISHING SYDNEY REPORT

FISHING REPORT
Well again the weather is making it tricky for anglers to head out onto the water.
Over last the week the fish was rather good on the days we headed out, Bonito are thick along the coast heading north from Botany Bay which is a little strange for October but thats fishing I guess.
Good sand Flathead are about in 55mtres straight out from Botany Bay fishing the bottom along with the odd Leather Jacket as we lost a few leads while fishing.
Botany Bay is fishing well with good Trevally about but you will need to move about to find them as many are under size and in big numbers at a lot of spots.
Sinning with Plastic for Flathead bring results with a few good fish.

Our Squid day are  going well, Dave and I will be running more soon,
keen let me know all trips are mid week.
The boy with a good Bonito trolling the coast early.
